Home QR Code for PDF Walkthrough

How to Make a QR Code for a PDF

Upload your PDF to Google Drive (or any public host), set sharing to Anyone with the link, then turn the share URL into a scannable QR code with EZQR.

What the video covers

  1. Upload the PDF to Google Drive — Drag your file into Drive.
  2. Set sharing to Anyone with the link — Right-click the file → Share → change "Restricted" to "Anyone with the link." Otherwise people who scan will not be able to open it.
  3. Copy the share link — It will look like https://drive.google.com/file/d/.../view?usp=sharing.
  4. Paste it into EZQR's generator — Click "Create QR Code" and download the PNG, JPG, or SVG.
  5. Test it on your phone before printing — Every QR code should be scanned at least once before going out. If it lands on a "Request access" screen, your sharing setting is not right yet.
